Calving season starts the first week of January and continues for 60 days. We schedule this time to get ahead of the "muddy season" in late winter and to market the finished cattle ahead of the "flood of the market."  

Calving groups are sorted according to AI conception.  This allows us to know which groups to "live with" during the first two weeks of calving.  All calves are given a Visual ID that matches their cow as well as an electronic ID for future processing.
